bad start to a sunny morning

this morning i woke up and had breakfast before going to a nearby shopping centre for a haircut. i had to wait for my turn to get that disastrous haircut.

when i went home, had my lunch, it was already 11.30 am and we were suppose to meet in school for the taekwondo outing at 12 noon. so i was LATE! i really wanted to go for the taekwondo outing so i asked my dad if he could give me a lift, but he REFUSED and asked me to take a taxi. he was more interested in playing maplestory. -_-

however, i do not want to waste money just to take the taxi to school...

so here i am...stuck at home on a sunny day...with nothing much to do...except tutorials and projects...sigh...

the sports menace

the sports menace...is ME!

oh no! whenever i feel for some sports event and really hope that they will win...they will end up losing. still remember very vividly during the olympics period when singapore got into the finals for table tennis and eventually was in a match with korea i think to fight for the bronze medal. singapore was on a winning streak...UNTIL I CAME OUT OF MY ROOM into the living room to watch the match as i was reading in my room. after which, it was disastrous and korea seem to pick up speed and momentum and trashing our singapore player flat. after that, i went off to the toilet to bath...and when i came out i realised that singapore is catching up AGAIN. is this coincidence or what? maybe i watched the match for too long and it became really difficult for singapore to catch up given the SHORT period while i was not in front of the television watching the match.

today, my class was supposed to go down to toa pah yo stadium to support the table tennis boys team who was having a match against RJC. i went in and was partically shocked by the RAFFLE-ISH stadium. raffles banners were everywhere, with a REALLY HUGE ONE AT THE LOCATION WHERE WE WERE SITTING. and their cheers were REALLY OVERWHELMING like some sound surround system combining the powers of the high shrills from RGS and the RAAA RAAAA RAAAAAAA RAAAA RAFFLES RJC.

so basically our cheers were like really soft compare to the raffles family. and the st nicholas' girls cheered REALLY LOUDLY although there were not alot of supporters present. so i propose that maybe my school should hold auditions for SPORTS SUPPORTERS who would go down to cheer for all the sporting events LOL. they could organise a CHEER IDOL (since my school like to organise "idol" competitions so much, there is even ECONOMICS IDOL! LOL) competition and test contestants on their rhythmic and loudness of their cheer. individuals who have meet the criteria of cheering with a sense of rhythm and with A MINIMUM DECIBEL would make it into the SPORTS SUPPORTERS TEAM LOL. they would get to pon lessons ALOT during the sports season HAHA! (:

nevertheless everyone was screaming at the top of their voice and the match was really tense, with my school losing just a few points to RJC for every round. i think lady luck is not at the table tennis team's side today (POSSIBLY BECAUSE OF MY PRESENCE THERE SUPPORTING), we were always SO CLOSE to reaching the game point, but always lose at the last important minute. however, well done to the table tennis team anyway for clinching second! (:

seem to be a fun-filled long weekend ahead of me. with the artemis outing, taekwondo club bonding outing (not sure if i wanna go) and strings concert (high percentage of uncertainty whether i should go for this or just save the money since i have been spending so much nowadays).

BLEAH! why am i such a sports menace!!!

LOST: SEASON FINALE

didn't go to school at 4am today...because i was still sleeping :P.

went to school and the first thing i did was to rush to the class bench to search for my pencil case and WOOHOO!!! saw my pencil case lying in a secluded corner in the box filled with rotten-eggs-essence-toothpick-structures.

and luckily my thumbdrive is in there!!! was so happy i could almost jumped with joy but did not too so because i was still feeling rather blur and sleepy.

after which went for morning assembly and went back to class bench. played with my bottle for a while and squirted "air" at myself. then i held the bottle in at about 45 degrees facing my face and jupiter was suddenly said "SQUIRT!" and instinctively and blurly i pressed the bottle and WATER SQUIRTED ONTO MY FACE. super duper funny. but quite cool actually to feel refreshed and the water sort of drive away all the monday blues and the losing-things-blues. haha.

anyway talking about that pencil case incident it was kinda funny because i think i sort of made a big HOOOOOHAAAAA over it probably because of that precious thumbdrive in that pencil case that contains all my projects!!!

this is what i did on saturday:

1) called numerous people to collect clues about my pencil case (LOL like solving some detective case)

2) even troubled yuani's friend who i didn't know to help me check the whereabout of the pencil case, but unfortunately he forgot to check, but thanks anyway! (:

3) spend my whole day praying that my pencil case is resting peaefully on the class bench

4) news of me losing my pencil case seem to spread quite a number of people and some asked me about my pencil case whereabout today! haha thanks for your concern!

maybe i should just buy insurance for my pencil case HAHA.

my mother is nagging me to go and bath NOW. she is super duper particular about the timing for bathing and i find that weird? not as though we would drown in water if we bath after 7pm or get scalded by heater if we bath after 8pm! because she only wants to bath after all of us had done so.

okay here she goes again...the WHOLE block can probably hear her.

i hope this will be my season finale for LOST (yichun's version) and i would not lose anything in the future again.

PULSE

yesterday went for this PULSE rock concert in school and i have to say that it kinda rocks, espcially monica's wonderful vocals and simon's (who is in taekwondo too!) really awesome electric guitar skills! haha!

and it is suppose to be some service learning project, so all the money we spent on the tickets would be donated to some charity organisation.

anyway that superhost finalist shen yun ying came to host the event and poor her! the crowd was not interested in what she says AT ALL and when she asked the audience to stop throwing lightsticks onto the stage, people threw the lightsticks AT HER. LOL.

i know i promised to take some pictures but i forgot to bring my camera to school!

anyway yesterday i was on the bus to school, sitting by the window when another hwachong guy sat beside me. i closed my eyes and tried to sleep and that guy who was beside me closed his and started sleeping too. then, he went on to have those "spasm" movements like anyone who sleep while in the upright sitting postition and collided against me pushing me towards the window suddenly LOL. so it was almost like a rollercoaster ride where i experience jerky movements every now and down and being knocked against by him. was quite unbearable at first because i wanted to sleep and cannot sleep but in the end i realised he must be a thousand more times more tired than me since i think he is a canoeist so i just opened my eyes and continued being knocked against. was quite interesting actually HAHA.

having piano lessons later. think i would screw it up again like i always did...sigh.

oh no!!! i just realised I LOST MY PENCIL CASE WITH LOTS OF PENS AND MARKERS INSIDE, SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR (for the fifth time, been spending over a hundred dollars on this stupid calculator buying replacements for it...please i really hope i can find that calculator!) AND THUMBDRIVE!

anyone who saw them in school please return back to me! i am desperate for my pencil case.

it is this blue billabong one with a dog keychain attached to it.

and the scientific calculator in the pencil case has got "Mr Ng Yichun :P" written on it.

thanks alot! i really really really hope to get them back!!!

but i have to wait for about 40 hours more before i can go back to school to find them!!!

think i am going to school at 4.00 am on monday...

green braces

went for dental appointment today and changed my braces to green colour! yes now i feel so greenish like short tree who breathes in fresh air...but has got painful roots...

my thighs are aching like crazy and i cannot climb stairs without the feeling as though venus flytraps are biting my thighs (omg this entry is so BOTANICAL LOL). probably due to all that jumping yesterday for the horror item that i can never seem to ever pass for napfa test: standing board jump!

anyway i had an interesting maths lecturer today! she looks like my grandmother with alot of knowledge!

digressing, i noticed that the female teachers in school are generally divided into two broad catergories: the-youthful-black-long-pants-gang and the-long-skirts-and-rather-fashion-disastrous-but-kind-and-caring-senior-teachers-gang (excluding THAT chemistry lecturer who lectured me for the first topic and refused to answer my questions and rushed through the entire chapter assuming that we had already understand EVERYTHING).

anyway i will try not to go FISH TANK so often, because it is drowning my money away!

seriously $1.60 for a fruit tart that measures about 10 cm in diameter is too much!

prove:

assume all fruit tarts from fish tank has got a diameter of 10 cm.

area of one fruit tart = pi X 5 square cm square

height of one fruit tart is about 3 cm.

volume of one fruit tart = pi X 5 square X 3 cm cube

hence, cost of 1 cm cube of the fruit tart is about 0.06 cent.

erm...actually not VERY expensive.

BUT THE POINT IS: i will try to save money and not spend the bulk of my money in fish tank!

i think i know why the prices of the food in fish tank are more expensive than normal school food. it is because they are the MONOPOLY in hwachong offering "cafe food".

shall we just set up another cafe to compete with them. let's call our cafe "BAD NEWS CAFE" as opposed to their "Good News Cafe".

hello

haha just popping by to keep this blog "alive"!

have not been blogging for a while because i do not know what to blog about.

anyway these few days have been the usual mundane lifestyle without much interesting happenings except for the fact that i got really nervous whenever i play the piano in front of my piano teacher during piano lessons. of course, i always screwed up no matter how confident i was at home with my playing. haha.

looking forward to the pulse rock concert in school this friday, as well as the artemis outing. hope it would be fun! and of course not forgetting the MRT CHALLENGE this wednesday which i volunteered to take part in though i know nuts about MRT and have a really really really bad sense of direction (though i THINK it has improved).

i am a fool!

hello everyone! ignore the random title :P.

this week has been quite slacky with the council nominations going on in school.

really hope michelle and yuani can get into council, so that i can get first-hand gossips about the hwachong admin system (haha!).

anyway, michelle called me on thursday night when i was rather sleepy and taught me how to say one sentence "hi whack team, i got a job for you." for a full 20 minutes over and over again for their promotional "vote-for-me" video. after which i switched on the computer and went online to record that sentence for 10 times and send all the 10 files to her to choose the best. this shows how much pride and effort they took in making the video! by the way i sounded rather cranky saying that sentence over the recording because i was half ASLEEP lol and i was shock that my seniors ACTUALLY RECOGNISED my voice from that one sentence!

oh no and later i gonna MUG CHEMISTRY okay not mug but do research for chemistry about some ice and water stuffs which was suppose to be independent study turned YICHUN STUDY. mr pang was asking us when our class could hand in the indepedent study...and this happened.

me: erm since it is INDEPENDENT study, so can we not hand in?

mr pang: okay since it is INDEPENDENT study, then there is no need for the class to hand in.

me and the whole class: YES!!!

mr pang: BUT yichun shall present to the class.

SO anti-climax right. haha but i don't mind because i think mr pang rocks and fuels my passion for chemistry! haha!

by the way our egg structure SHATTERED into a million pieces when we threw it from the second floor. needless to say, the egg which we were supposed to protect with the toothpick structure BROKE.

anyway we were making the egg structure at the class bench when gwen came over and said that she didn't need to do that laborious thing with pride because she doesn't take physics. LOL.

then joel said: BEWARE THERE MAY BE A BIO VERSION COMING UP ; with life chicks. build a structure out of toothpicks to protect a chick from dieing when threw from the third floor!

that was quite a sadistic idea, since most of our structures did not work. it will definitely make headlines! LOL.

- A premier junior college in Singapore recently ordered 20,000 chicks just to kill them in a contest organised by the school. lots of dead chicks and yellow fur were found within the school compound where the "DROP A CHICK" contest was held......


okay our school would definitely get sued by SPCA if that ever happens.

i was reading the comments for the last post when i saw mrs ho's (one of my favourite teachers who taught me geog in RV) and was very surprised!
